Ten for the Week

1. Corey got a four day last weekend, which would have been filled with a lot of fun things since the weather has been pretty nice lately. Unfortunately, I think I had food poisoning so I was very sick. Corey has been struggling to get over a cold/flu and has also been very sick lately. We spent the long weekend laying in bed and on the couch as a result.

2. Thanks to a weekend in bed, I spent a lot of time reading. Just finished Fire by Kristin Cashore and a couple of Merecedes Lackey books. Loved them all and can't wait to read the next installments.

3. We finally got Bunny to do a new trick besides Sit and Up. She can now lay Down! She's a slow learner.

4. We started working on the bug more lately. We have decided we are going to have to completely take it apart, probably to the frame, to get it as nice as we want in the end. This is a hobby that we both really enjoy and don't get enough time to play with.

5. I thought our porch was looking way too lonely and I really wanted to do some sort of holiday decorations, so we splurged and bought two nice wooden rocking chairs. We hope it will be joined by a swing one of these days.

6. It's been about two months since we cut ice cream out of our diets, which makes us pretty sad inside.

7. We finished putting down all of the pavers for our fire pit project. Now we just need bigger bricks to make the fire pit part. We hope the weather actually gets cold soon so that we can use it!

8. We noticed that we needed to change out about ten light bulbs that we had been putting off changing. We were very proud of ourselves because we bought energy efficient light bulbs, which use about 14 watts compared to 60 per light bulb.

9. I did a sad thing and cut off about five inches of my hair :( I hate hair cuts, I love my long hair, what was I thinking??

10. That's all we can think of.... our lives have been pretty boring of late!

Ten of The Week!

1. Corey and I started a backyard project. Our backyard is like a giant wasteland and Corey had a great idea to make a fire pit.

2.We went to Lowes and got a 60% discount on the bricks so we got them very cheap. We stacked all 400 of them in the back of Corey's Element. We were kind of scared we were destroying his suspension in the process (the bricks are about 5 lbs each), but we made it home and unstacked them all and started spacing them out. It looks good so far (at least we think so).

3. I am about 80% done with the re-paint the kitchen project. It looks about a million times better than the color we chose last time.

4. It's the rainy season again, it's been very gloomy the past week. But today it got very hot and sunny so we were able to start our project.

5. We are excited that the new seasons of our favorite shows are back on. I make Corey watch Bones and Greys Anatomy with me.

6. Corey put up a new shelf that I really really wanted. He put it up and now I am not so sure that I want it anymore. It's way thicker than we thought, so it looks kind of awkward where we hung it. He had to drill giant holes in the wall for it so I am relunctant to take it down.

7. We made really yummy sugar cookies from scratch and homemade vanilla buttercream frosting that we made green. I am glad some of our baking adventures are actually turning out.

8. Corey still works 14 hours a day and gets home past 6 every night, the Army is mean to soldiers. Since they deploy for a year at a time, maybe when they are actually home they should be allowed to spend some time with their families.

9. Midterms are coming up, I can't believe we are almost half way through this semester. Thankfully the VA finally started paying me my GI bill, woo hoo!

Ten of the Week

Another boring week, not much to say.

1. We started painting our kitchen because the old green color is ugly.
2. We went to the fair and saw all the animals.
3. I made an experiment with erosion and got the garden hose stuck ten feet in the ground.
4. I had to dig a giant hole to get the hose out

5. I moved a stupid painting for yoli and now the room is lopsided

6. I got to go to work at 2:30 this morning, it's pretty awesome. I worked from 2:30am to 5:00 pm today.

7. Yoli learned how to make pretty flowers out of clay.

8. I went to the NCO of the month board and got second place woohoo.

9. We have been taking the dogs on lots of long walks and sometimes running because we need to get more exercise.

10. Our dogwood tree is for sure dead :( we killed it good.

Ten on Saturday...

1. Sorry we haven't posted in forever... here is a brief recap of our lives since last time.

We spent a couple of weeks in Colorado, getting married! We are officially Mr. and Mrs. Corey Bell. We spent our honeymoon in Vegas before driving all the way home to North Carolina with two dogs.

I started school full time (I am out of the Army now woohoo!) and Corey returned to work. :( We really enjoyed our vacation and were sad to go back to our regular lives.

2. I really enjoy my ceramics class, it is by far my favorite class. It is the only 'fun' class I am authorized to take with my GI Bill, so after this semester it will be all business. I have successfully made two bowls and a mug!

3. Corey had to go into work yesterday even though it was a day off for everyone in the Army, and today he is on staff duty which means he was cheated out of two days off! His four day weekend got turned into a two day :(

4. The Cape Fear Fair is in town, so we will be going to see the pig races and cows and everything tomorrow. And they have tigers, we are excited to see them!

5. I still can't find a job, which is pretty disappointing. I wish the VA would start paying me my education benefits, but they are backed up ten weeks, so it will be a while.

6. We decided we're fat and need to start exercising and eating healthy again. We will miss eating ice cream every day.

7. We went geocaching with Bubba yesterday after Corey got off of work. It was fun, we haven't done it in a while. We got 3 out of the 4 we were looking for. Corey found them all, I was apparantly a bad looker.

8. Butters got out one night (he is indoor kitty) and really scared us, we coulnd't find him anywhere. He came home when he got hungry, but he really worried us.

9. Bunny is the cutest dog ever!

10. That's all we can think of at the moment. Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!

Ten on Today

Hello everyone, we had a decent week once again,Like always now that doesnt mean anything got accomplished just that we were busy.

1. We went to raleigh to buy Yoli a dress it was a fast trip and we didnt stay very long but we got what we needed and a little extra. Yay!


2. Corey started learning how to do body work on his Beetle, rust is everwhere so Corey gets a lot of practice by the time he is done, this weekend I will master the Art of Bondo body filler yay!


3. Corey(me) Mowed the lawn between the thunderstorms weve been having Yippi!


4. Corey got A= essencials certified, on 5 more classes till I am a network technition in the non-army world.


5. We failed at going to the movies it was crowded and full of fat rednecks so we left.we dont like crowds.


6. Bubba is not smart and gets scared when im being a kung-fu master.


7. We work way too much and dont get enough free time.


8. I feel bad because i cant take the doggie out because this area is the parvo capital of the world!


9. I cleaned the kittie box today it was fun!


10. thats all we did's very boring over worked week.

Ten on Tuesday!

1. Corey bought new power tools and built a dog house for the pit bull. He put in a lot of hard work for the puppy.

Here it is finished, very pretty! Bubba loves it.

2. Bubba is a sweet heart, he likes to cuddle more than Bunny.

3. I spent many hours painting the former baby boy room to a pretty turqoise. It was a darker blue color on top and a nasty pea green color on the bottom. I was told I just made it look like more of a baby boy room, not what I was going for. We will see after I decorate it...

4. My mama picked up the bridesmaid dresses yesterday, they are beautiful!

5. Corey also got a new lawn mower and finally got to mow the lawn!

6. The dirt here stinks to grow stuff in, it is all sand and ants. Corey put in a good effort to kill the ants, but failed miserably.

7. It was in the 90s the past couple days, ew! We hate the hot, humid weather.

8. I have 50 days left till I am out of the Army, only 30 of those are actual work days! yay for me!

9. Bunny and Bubba still don't get along, it makes us sad. Butters is still packleader despite the fact that Corey tried really hard to move up in the order of things.

15 April 2009 Ten Tuesdays!

Hello everybody we just started this so we will need some practie please bear with us.

1) We had a decent week the weather was warm and rainy, then nice, then cold, then nice, then rainy, then cloudy, then nice, then rainy. I love this state..... I wish it would snow.

2) Bunny is bad and likes to steal our clean clothes.

3) I was the first and best child today I called my dad first its his Birthday. Happy birthday dad!

4) Yoli took her College test thing and found out she is awesome at english! and really really bad at math =(

5) the doggie loves her little red bear, and the kittie got on top of the cabinets in the kitchen he was touching the roof. Bad Kittie!!!!

6) My wierd bulbs have one little sprout now, and the rest are starting to grow.

7) I need a lawn mower really bad, we are having landscaping companies leave flyers on our door because our yard looks lame.

8) there is a purple flower parasite that is growing on all the trees and eating them and killing them. its sad it kills the pretty trees with purple flowers.

9)we went to hibachi japanese for dinner yesterday and corey ate 5 times too much and got fat fat some more!!!

10)We had a quiet easter and ate taco bell for dinner it was yummy.

11) we also got a pack of coldstone cupcakes they are yummy too! fatties we be!

As you can see our lives are super exciting hope you all enjoyed.

Our First Post!

Hi everbody! Here is just a summary of what has been going on in our lives lately! Corey wants to start doing the ten on tuesday, so I am guessing it will be done on here if anything.

We have recently moved into a new house, we are officially homeowners! Yay!

We moved in about two weeks ago and are still not finished unpacking =( We are super lazy.

We did, however, start a garden! Just pretty flowers- veggies and fruits are way too advanced for us for now.

Yoli picked all purple flowers and made sure to get some hydrangea's since they are our main flower for the wedding.

Corey is trying to kill all the mean fire ants and weeds in our pathetic lawn, maybe one day we will have pretty green grass.

We have two children, a Bunny and a Butters! They like to chase eachother and run into the coffee table.

Yoli has two months and some change left in the army, woohoo!!!!
